Just in case you’ve missed the news over at the Wandle Trust… we’re delighted to announce that the river’s very own charity Christmas card for 2008 is now available.
Entitled Butter Hill bridge under snow, this year’s design shows a tasty little stretch of the upper Wandle – from an original watercolour by local artist Nigel Spencer who’s one of the Wandle Trust’s regular cleanup volunteers.
As usual, the cards have been produced by our friends at STR Design & Print, in that ancient mill (one of the Wandle’s oldest) on the right of the watercolour.
Packs of A5-sized cards cost just £5 for 10, complete with envelopes.
All profits will go directly to help the work of the Wandle Trust, and this Christmas it’s compulsory we’d like everyone who loves and/or fishes the river to send Wandle cards to their nearest and dearest.
You can buy your cards at the Wandle Trust’s December cleanup. Better still, because Christmas is coming and stocks are limited (not to mention collectible), why not call 0208 669 7311 to reserve your pack(s), or have yours sent to you?
