Via the Orvis news and Carpfly sites come these frankly mesmerising eight minutes of film about fly-fishing for carp amongst the highways and high-rises of South Korea (well, we assume it’s not the North).

As Phil Monahan says:

“Despite the fact that the anglers are casting on an urban river right next to a highway, they seem to be lost in the natural world of the current, the insect life, and the fish… Some of the strikes, fights, and releases are so cool that, if this film doesn’t make you want to go catch a carp on a dry fly, I don’t know what will.”

And for the first time since we saw this (and maybe this) we say it again… that’s what we call urban fishing!
